The Asian Affairs master's programme is a specialization of the Sciences-Po Lyon 5th year diploma. It spans the last two years of study, beginning in 4th year (Master 1) with the "International Affairs"/"Firms and globalization" major.
The programme is tailored to post-graduate Sciences-Po Lyon students who have obtained the "Monde Extrême-Oriental Contemporain" undergraduate degree, and to post-graduate outside students who have joined Sciences-Po Lyon in 4th year. Admission to the programme is limited to students aiming to work in Asia: candidates must display dedication and career goals consistent with the programme.
For Sciences-Po post-graduate students:
• First round of the application procedures in 3rd year (selection of the 4th year major and 5th year wish list; hard-copy application forms - resume and letter of motivation) ;
• If necessary, second round of the application procedures in 4th year (hard-copy application and/or interview).
The letter of motivation must include:
- The student's academic background;
- The student's personal motivation regarding Asian Affairs ;
- A brief and clear outline of the student's career goals.

For students in the IEP postgraduate exchange programme :
Prospective students must submit their application to the registrar's office of their respective IEP. It must included a letter of motivation, a resume, transcripts from every university attended, and a letter of recommendation if applicable.
The letter of motivation must include:
- The student's academic background;
- The student's personal motivation regarding Asian Affairs ;
- A brief and clear outline of the student's career goals.
For students in continuing education :

Only students with sufficient language skills in French, English, Japanese/Chinese need apply. In order to qualify, prospective students must take proficiency tests and are required to conduct an interview with a faculty member.
